A functional musculoskeletal assessment forms part of both our performance profiling, strength and conditioning and bike fitting.
The aim of this assessment is two-fold. To identify any potential injury risks. If you’re injured you can’t train, and therefore you can’t improve. And to identify any limiting factors in how you and the bike interact.
1) Musculoskeletal health, risk and function: flexibility and range-of-motion; leg-length discrepancies
2) Subjective movement assessment: functional movement competence
3) Foot assessment: shoe fit and suitability
We can then work on any areas of concern of areas that may affect future performance through an individualised strength and conditioning program
